Run Hard Supports Local Charities

Run Hard assists local charities by allowing them to use the Lexington Half Marathon, 10K, and 5K to raise money for their cause. Charities receive all the benefits of hosting a race without any of the work!

How does it work?

  • Charities create a group that runners can join when registering for the Lexington Half, 10K, or 5K
  • Runners that choose a group during race registration will receive an email with a unique link that they can send to potential supporters
  • Supporters give to runners using the unique link or by visiting the Charity page.
  • Runners and group administrators receive an account where they login to view donations that have been made toward their cause
  • When the race is over, Run Hard will write a check to the charity for the amount of the donations (minus fees).

If you would like to find out more about how you can partner with Run Hard to raise funds for your cause, contact Jesse Harmon

Wheels for Abby

Abby McPherson is a 12 year old girl that was born with congenital cytomegalovirus. CMV is a virus that caused Abby to have cerebral palsy, hearing loss, vision loss, hydrocephalus, epilepsy, and mental disability. You can read more about CMV at www.stopcmv.com.
Despite Abby's challenges, she is an extremely happy little girl that enjoys life to the fullest in her own ways and brings joy to everyone who knows her. Her smile and laughter are contagious!
Abby uses a wheelchair and is in need of a handicap accessible van to transport her. She has outgrown the current van with makeshift ramp that her family is using, and it has become unsafe for her.
The Wheels for Abby team has a goal of raising $40,000 to purchase a used handicap accessible van. Funds raised through the Lexington Half Marathon will go towards the purchase of a van. For more information, visit www.facebook.com/wheelsforabby2016 or email wheelsforabby@gmail.com.

Stidham Adoption

We are Eric and Starla Stidham and we are in the process of adopting a child from China. We started the adoption process in May of 2015. We still have a long way to go to bring home our child. We are thankful for how God has provided in his timing. Thank you for all your support.
